RouteOne scores F on Supergood's API Report Card. RouteOne markets On-Demand APIs for credit apps, decisions, eContracting and document exchange, but there is no developer portal or public reference. Access runs through StrategicPartnerships@RouteOne.com, DSP certification and per-dealer enablement; no sandbox or SDK.
Without a usable official API, teams fall back on manual exports, file drops, or one-off vendor integrations. The other option is an unofficial API layer like Supergood that automates the authenticated web app directly. Site terms may apply to any integration approach, and how they apply is a determination each team makes for itself.
RouteOne is the F&I network that connects automobile dealers to finance sources for credit applications, decisions, eContracting, eSigning, menu selling and compliance.
Automotive retail finance: franchised and independent new and used vehicle dealers, dealer groups (AutoNation, Penske, Sonic, CarMax and others launched it as early as 2005) and finance sources (captives, banks, credit unions and fintech lenders) across the U.S. and Canada. F&I managers submit a customer's credit application from RouteOne, their DMS or a digital retailing tool to one or more lenders, receive decisions and callbacks, run identity verification and OFAC checks, present aftermarket products through Menu, generate and validate eContracts against lender rules, capture signatures in-store or remotely, and track funding status.
More than 16,500 dealers were enrolled by 2005 and the network now links 1,500 or more lenders and thousands of dealers with 24 million eContracts booked (WardsAuto, 2022), making RouteOne one of the two dominant credit application hubs in North American auto retail alongside Dealertrack.
Consumer credit applications (name, address, SSN, date of birth, income, employment), credit bureau pulls, lender decisions and stipulations, identity verification and OFAC results, vehicle and deal structure, aftermarket product contracts, signed retail and lease contracts and ancillary documents.
Founded 2002; the dealer web application is widely described as dated but functional. Release notes are published monthly.
A CRM developer asking how to integrate customer data into Dealertrack and RouteOne was told to work through each company individually rather than a public API. Approvals and decisions do not transfer back to the DMS cleanly, leaving F&I staff to re-key results. Full sourced list under Sources below.
Common alternatives include Dealertrack, CUDL, CDK, DealerCenter. Graded alternatives appear under "More from the report card" below.
Supergood's grades measure one thing: can a customer's engineering team get their own data out programmatically? Supergood checks six things (whether a real API exists, how access is gated, data coverage, auth quality, docs and developer experience, and stability) and rolls them into a letter grade. Supergood re-verifies grades, and they only move on evidence.
Not that we could find. There is no official RouteOne MCP server in any public registry, and no maintained community server we're aware of. We re-verify this periodically — report an inaccuracy below if we missed one.
Not natively. RouteOne doesn't publish an MCP server, so MCP clients like Claude, Cursor, and Codex have nothing to connect to out of the box. If that changes, this page will reflect it.
