Seeed Fusion has no public API and no developer portal. The only programmatic route is an API integration inside its distributor partner program, reached by application and a multi week setup. Quote, order, and production data stay in the web ordering portal.
Seeed Fusion scores F on Supergood's API Report Card. Seeed Fusion has no public API and no developer portal. The only programmatic route is an API integration inside its distributor partner program, reached by application and a multi week setup. Quote, order, and production data stay in the web ordering portal.
Without a usable official API, teams fall back on manual exports, file drops, or one-off vendor integrations. The other option is an unofficial API layer like Supergood that automates the authenticated web app directly. Site terms may apply to any integration approach, and how they apply is a determination each team makes for itself.
Seeed Fusion is Seeed Studio's online prototyping and manufacturing service, covering PCB fabrication, turnkey PCB assembly with component purchasing, PCB layout, 3D printing, and CNC milling, at volumes described as one unit to thousands.
Manufacturing, specifically electronics prototyping and contract production. A hardware team uploads design files and a bill of materials, runs the instant quoting system against Open Parts Library stock and supplier pricing, accepts a design for assembly review, and places a fabrication or turnkey assembly order.
Seeed Fusion is a well known prototyping and PCBA option in the hardware engineering and maker community, with Seeed stating that users from over 100 countries order through it, though no audited customer counts, market share figures, or named reference customers appear in public sources.
Seeed Fusion holds the operating record for a hardware build: uploaded design and Gerber files, bills of materials and the component selections matched against Open Parts Library stock, quotes and the pricing behind them, design for assembly review findings, purchase orders, production and assembly progress, shipping and logistics records, certification and quality documentation for OEM projects, and invoices.
The ordering surface is actively maintained and has kept gaining features: SnapEDA CAD models were added to the Open Parts Libraries in October 2021 and an OEM portal was folded into the Fusion order page in December 2022.
Common alternatives include JLCPCB, PCBWay, MacroFab, CircuitHub, Eurocircuits. Graded alternatives appear under "More from the report card" below.
Supergood's grades measure one thing: can a customer's engineering team get their own data out programmatically? Supergood checks six things (whether a real API exists, how access is gated, data coverage, auth quality, docs and developer experience, and stability) and rolls them into a letter grade. Supergood re-verifies grades, and they only move on evidence.
Not that we could find. There is no official Seeed Fusion MCP server in any public registry, and no maintained community server we're aware of. We re-verify this periodically — report an inaccuracy below if we missed one.
Not natively. Seeed Fusion doesn't publish an MCP server, so MCP clients like Claude, Cursor, and Codex have nothing to connect to out of the box. If that changes, this page will reflect it.
