Self-serve aviation data API: published plans from 19 dollars a month, a licence key issued at checkout, and public OpenAPI specs for v2, v3 and v3.1. Key based auth and Pro tier webhooks keep it just short of the top band.
SkyLink API scores B+ on Supergood's API Report Card. Self-serve aviation data API: published plans from 19 dollars a month, a licence key issued at checkout, and public OpenAPI specs for v2, v3 and v3.1. Key based auth and Pro tier webhooks keep it just short of the top band.
SkyLink API has a workable official integration path. Most engineering teams can build against it directly. Solid API with minor gaps
SkyLink API is a commercial aviation data service that sells real time and historical flight information to developers and operations teams as REST endpoints.
Travel and aviation technology, specifically developers and product teams building flight tracking, dispatch, operations and travel experience software. Teams subscribe once, take the licence key from the checkout confirmation or the dashboard, and send authenticated REST calls to api.skylinkapi.com or the RapidAPI host.
SkyLink publishes no customer counts, named logos or market position evidence, and no third party review profiles surfaced in research, so it reads as a small independent aviation data vendor distributed partly through RapidAPI.
The data a customer depends on here is the vendor's aviation corpus rather than customer records: live and historical ADS-B positions, flight status and operations records, METAR and TAF observations and forecasts, NOTAMs, airport and aerodrome reference data including charts, aircraft lookup records, route and callsign resolution, emissions and performance figures, and machine learning predictions.
The surface is modern and actively versioned: three generations run side by side, v2, v3 and v3.1, with v3.1 documented as the latest and carrying the newer features such as routes, webhooks, briefing PDFs, carbon emissions, aircraft performance, flight tickets and machine learning predictions.
Common alternatives include Cirium, Skyscanner API, FlightAware AeroAPI, Aviationstack, OpenSky Network. Graded alternatives appear under "More from the report card" below.
Supergood's grades measure one thing: can a customer's engineering team get their own data out programmatically? Supergood checks six things (whether a real API exists, how access is gated, data coverage, auth quality, docs and developer experience, and stability) and rolls them into a letter grade. Supergood re-verifies grades, and they only move on evidence.
Not that we could find. There is no official SkyLink API MCP server in any public registry, and no maintained community server we're aware of. We re-verify this periodically — report an inaccuracy below if we missed one.
Not natively. SkyLink API doesn't publish an MCP server, so MCP clients like Claude, Cursor, and Codex have nothing to connect to out of the box. If that changes, this page will reflect it.
