No public API. Gabi never published a developer portal, and its carrier integrations now live inside Experian Insurance Marketplace's private partner APIs, open only to participating carriers and agencies. Account linking runs on consumer-shared portal credentials, not a permissioned API.

Gabi has a workable official integration path. Most engineering teams can build against it directly. Open API: self-serve, documented, with SDKs
Gabi is a U.S. personal-lines insurance comparison platform that lets consumers upload or link an existing auto or home policy, then automatically pulls comparable quotes from a panel of 40+ carriers (Nationwide, Travelers, Progressive, Safeco, Kemper, Encompass, and others).
Financial Services (Personal-Lines Insurance Comparison / Licensed Digital Agency). A consumer visits gabi.com (or the Experian Insurance Marketplace), enters an address and basic profile data, and optionally links their current insurer login so Gabi can read the existing declarations page directly rather than make the user retype coverages.
Minimal. Gabi briefly handles a consumer's prior-policy declarations, vehicle/home characteristics, driver/household details, and quote results; once a new policy binds, the system of record is the underlying carrier (Nationwide, Progressive, Travelers, etc.), not Gabi.
~10 years old, founded 2016 in San Francisco by Hanno Fichtner and Krzysztof Kujawa (Y Combinator W17). Acquired by Experian in November 2021 for $320M cash.
No public developer API, no documentation portal, no OAuth or webhook surface for consumers or third parties to integrate against Gabi quotes or policies. Carrier integrations are private/partner-only inside Experian Insurance Marketplace, only participating insurance carriers and agencies (not consumers or independent developers) can retrieve policy data. Grades measure one thing: can a customer's engineering team get their own data out programmatically? We check six things (whether a real API exists, how access is gated, data coverage, auth quality, docs and developer experience, and stability) and roll them into a letter grade. Grades get re-verified, and they only move on evidence.
